Privacy Policy

Forma (“the App”) is a macOS application designed for creating and organizing notes, tasks, and sketches on a spatial canvas. Your privacy is important, and this policy explains what information the App does and does not collect.
1. Information We Collect
Forma itself does not collect, transmit, or process any personal data on its own servers. Forma has no servers of its own.
Specifically:
- No account or sign-in is required to use Forma
- No analytics or usage tracking is performed
- No personal information is collected by Forma
- No data is sent to Forma's own servers
- No third-party libraries transmit data
All content you create – including notes, tasks, drawings, and preferences – is stored locally on your device, and optionally synced via Apple's iCloud as described below.
2. Data Storage & iCloud Sync
By default, all user data remains on your Mac. Forma does not back up, sync, or upload your data to any servers of its own.
iCloud sync is on by default. When enabled, your notes, tasks, and drawings are securely synced across your devices through Apple's iCloud, using Apple's own encrypted infrastructure. That data is transmitted to and stored on Apple's servers under Apple's iCloud Terms of Service and privacy practices, not Forma's — Forma does not have access to this data once it is in iCloud. You can turn iCloud sync off at any time in Forma's settings, which keeps your data on your Mac only.
If you delete the app, your local data will be removed unless you manually backed up the app’s data folder or have it stored in iCloud.
3. Third-Party Services
Forma does not use any third-party analytics tools, advertising platforms, or tracking SDKs. The only external service Forma uses is Apple's iCloud, on by default, solely to sync your own data across your own devices — you can disable it anytime in settings.
4. Children’s Privacy
Because Forma itself collects no data, it does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Forma is safe for all users.
5. Your Rights
Since Forma itself does not collect or store any personal data, there is no personal information held by Forma to access, modify, or delete. Data synced via iCloud (on by default, can be turned off in settings) is managed through your Apple ID and Apple's own iCloud privacy controls.
